CAREER:                                 King Radio began singing in the early-1930s and is believed to have won the first Road March competition in 1932 with "Tiger Tom Play Tiger Cat." He composed and sang "Matilda" which was later recorded and made internationally popular by American singer Harry Belafonte. He continued performing through the 1940s. His calypsoes include:
