CAREER: Simon began singing calypsoes in 1945 and inherited his singing name from the first "Lord Ziegfield" (Eric Belesco) when he retired. Some of the calypsoes sung by Belesco were: "How Hitler Invaded Poland"; "Cabula Bath"; "I Don't Want a Young Girl"; "Joe Louis"; and "Lament for Destroyer." Simon sang at the House of Lords Tent, and teamed up with Lord Pretender, Lord Kitchener, Mighty Spoiler, Small Island Pride, and Lord Melody to launch the Young Brigade Tent in 1947. He retired from singing in 1959 without ever having any of his songs recorded. He migrated to the USA in 1966 before retiring to Grenada, West Indies, in 1992. His calypsoes include:
