St. Ann's
The official residence of the President of Trinidad and Tobago is located in St. Ann's, directly north of the Queen's Park Savannah. Its previous occupants were the Governors of the country, during the colonialist era, and the Governor-Generals of the country, from the period of independence in 1962 until the country became a republic. Queen's Hall is also located in St. Ann's and was the major showplace for the arts and culture of the country up until the 1980s.
