  • CAREER:                                      In 2003, Bovell won four medals and joined Roger Gibbon in second place on the all-time list of Trinidadians who won medals at the Pan American Games. However, Bovell joined Michael Agostini as the only Trinidadian to win more than two at the same Pan American Games. On August 18, 2004, he became the first man from the English-speaking Caribbean to qualify for an Olympic swimming final when he returned a time of 2:00.31 in the 200 meters Individual Medley semifinal round in Greece.
