CAREER: Arlen gained a great appreciation for the beauty of three-dimensional design and sculpture while enrolled in a jewelry course at the John Donaldson Technical Institute. He later enrolled in an art course and combined all his training to design and make jewelry and collages. He received a one-year scholarship at the Ontario College of Art and Design where he explored a wide spectrum of art, from the traditional forms of sculpture to the electronic medium of videos and computers. His art exhibits include:
- 1996 - Inter-American Development Bank Design Competition, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad
- 2001 - City Museum, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad (with French artist Herve Chambon)
- 2002 - "Mi Casa Yo Casa," Caribbean Comtemporary Arts, Fernandes Industrial Complex, Laventille, Trinidad
