DATE OF BIRTH: ......
PLACE OF BIRTH: ...., Trinidad
EDUCATION: .......
CAREER:                                       Davies received tutoring in classical and jazz piano when he was growing up and went on to become a very popular pianist who was frequently heard on radio in Trinidad in the 1950s, long before the introduction of television to the island in 1962. He was the first musician to play at the Trinidad Hilton Hotel when it opened in the 1950s and went on to play for 16 years on the local shows "Scouting for Talent" and "Rikki Tiki." Except for a brief stint in Nassau, Bahamas, in the 1960s, he never committed to being a full-time musician and played in his spare time while he worked as a lithographic draughtsman in the Mapping and Control, Lands and Survey Department of the Planning Ministry. In 1965, he performed at the Commonwealth Arts Festival in Great Britain with drummer and panman, Ulric "Chick McGroo" Springer.
