CAREER: Gomez captained T&T in soccer in the 1950s and, in 1959, led the only West Indies soccer team ever to tour England. He was rated among the top three T&T goalkeepers of the twentieth century. He also represented T&T in hockey and led the T&T hockey team to a silver medal in the 1967 Pan American Games in Winnipeg, Canada. In the 1970s, he migrated to Canada where he spent the rest of his life. Gomez's career includes the following significant accomplishments:
- 1950s - Represented T&T in soccer and hockey
- 1959 - Captained the West Indies soccer team in a tour of England
- 1960s - Represented T&T in soccer and hockey
