CAREER: Nakhid led the American University soccer team to the NCAA Division I final in 1985 before losing to UCLA in triple overtime. He was the first soccer player to graduate from the USA college system and play professionally in an European First Division soccer league. He captained the Trinidad & Tobago national soccer team from 1996 to 2001. His career includes the following significant accomplishments:
